Our Mission: Making South Carolina a Safer, Healthier, Smarter Place for Kids

It’s our calling to help every child unlock the future God intended for them."

Meet The Founders
Rom and Renee Reddy are the founders of The Reddy Charitable Foundation and a devoted couple who call Isle of Palms, South Carolina, home. Together, they have built a life rooted in compassion, purpose, and giving back.
With a shared passion for helping children and families thrive, Rom and Renee created their charitable foundation to support causes they deeply believe in—primarily education, health, and safety for children across South Carolina. Their warm and generous spirit extends far beyond their foundation; they are actively engaged in supporting nonprofits throughout the state, always looking for meaningful ways to amplify impact and uplift communities.
Philanthropy is not just a part of their lives—it’s a guiding principle.
Rom and Renee dedicate much of their time and resources to helping nonprofit organizations succeed, often working directly with leaders to identify ways they can provide both strategic and financial support. They believe that lasting change happens when good people work together for a great cause, and they are honored to be part of that change.

About
The Fund
The Reddy Charitable Foundation was founded with a single goal: to enhance the lives of children and families across South Carolina. By focusing on the core pillars of education, health, and safety, we invest in programs that create lasting impact and build stronger communities.
Our Work
The charitable foundation was established in the late 1990s with an initial focus on expanding educational opportunities for underprivileged communities—believing that education is a cornerstone of economic freedom. As the foundation grew, its mission expanded to support women and children’s issues, including global efforts to combat child trafficking. Over time, the foundation has contributed to a variety of impactful initiatives, including private missions to extract American citizens from Afghanistan, a workforce development program in Charleston, SC, and the launch of Hope Florida in partnership with First Lady Casey DeSantis. Hope Florida has since become a successful model for transitioning individuals from government assistance into the private sector. Currently, the foundation is sponsoring an AI-driven education initiative focused on math, science, and English in Edgefield County, SC, and plans to launch several South Carolina–based projects in the coming year, including a pilot program of Hope SC.
